My first experience in the optical business was in 1984 when my mother, Helena Decyk, opened her Optical store in Oshawa. In 1996 we amalgamated our efforts here in Whitby and my mother continues to be my mentor, advisor and partner. Our close relationship really shows and personalizes our approach to business. My mother has also heavily influenced my approach to complete eye care. I rely on her expertise as an optician and a veteran pharmacist to grow and develop the dry eye and ocular vitamin counseling practice that has really differentiated Rossland Optical from the rest!
